How we work
Editorial Policy
How Pyrelvos researches, tests, writes, and reviews its content — and how we stay independent.
Last updated: June 11, 2026
Trust is the only thing that makes a car publication worth reading. This page explains how we research, test, write, review, and maintain everything on Pyrelvos — and how we keep our recommendations independent.
How we choose what to cover
We write about the car problems real readers have: a used car that might be a bargain or a money pit, whether an EV fits how you actually drive, a maintenance job you're deciding whether to tackle, or a driving habit worth fixing. Ideas come from our own garages, reader questions, and recurring problems we see people struggle with. We do not chase trends or horsepower headlines for traffic's sake.
How we research, test, and write
Every article is written or edited by a named member of our team with direct, hands-on experience of the topic — people who have driven the cars, owned them, and wrenched on them. When we recommend a car, a part, or a method, we've driven it, lived with it, fitted it, or tested it ourselves. We draw on primary sources — manufacturer documentation, owner's manuals, official specifications, recall and safety data, and our own testing — rather than recycling what other sites say. Claims that depend on figures are linked to their source, and we note when something varies by vehicle, region, or model year.
Editing and review
Before publication, each piece is reviewed for accuracy, clarity, and usefulness. We ask a simple question of every draft: would this genuinely help a reader buy, own, maintain, or drive their car — safely — or is it just filling space? If it is the latter, it does not run. We also check that any safety-critical task is flagged clearly, with a recommendation to use a qualified mechanic and follow the owner's manual where appropriate.
How we make recommendations
Our recommendations are brand-agnostic. We start from the reader's needs and budget, not from a manufacturer we'd like to promote. Sometimes the best answer is the cheaper car, the simpler fix, the older model, or no purchase at all — and we'll say so.
Our use of AI tools
Our articles are written and edited by people. We may use software for spell-checking, research, or suggesting outlines, but a human writer is responsible for the substance, accuracy, and final wording of everything we publish. We do not publish auto-generated content.
Independence and advertising
Pyrelvos is funded by advertising and, occasionally, affiliate links. To protect your trust:
- We never accept payment to give a positive review or to feature a car or product in editorial content — there is no pay-for-placement.
- Advertising is clearly distinguishable from articles.
- Affiliate relationships never change our verdict — see our disclaimer for the full disclosure.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes, and when we do, we fix them quickly and transparently. If you spot an error or an out-of-date detail, email [email protected] or use our contact form. Substantive corrections are noted on the article.
Updates
Because models, prices, technology, and best practices evolve, we revisit popular guides and refresh them. When an article is meaningfully updated, the publication date reflects the most recent revision.
